Now days, the global fuel crisis make the fuel saving is an increasingly important topic. The price of energy, in particular fossil fuel, is inevitably on a long-term upward path, while the global recession means everyone has less money to spare. Fuel bills take up an ever-increasing proportion of people's budgets. Therefore the automobile engineer has been work hard in innovating a fuel saves vehicle to compete with other automobile industry especially with international company.
In comparing between the Proton Exora and Perodua Alza, we have interviewed who has bought both MPV. Besides that, we also interviewed the promoter for both MPV and the result that we get is, Proton Exora returned 100 kilometres with 9.2 to 13 liters of fuel depended on the acceleration, where it will give the range of the fuel consumption between 10.86 to 7.69 km per liters. About the fuel cost, the current fuel price per liters is RM 1.80, so Proton Exora need the fuel cost between RM0.17 to RM0.23 per kilometres.
100km = 9.2 l (9.2/100=0.092) 1l = RM1.8 [1 km = 0.092 l]
1 km = 0.092 l 1 km = RM0.17 (1.80X0.092=0.17)
> 10.87 km/l > RM0.17/km
Perodua Alza claims 100 kilometers with 7.87 liters for automatic transmission and 6.45 liter for manual transmission, where it will gives 12.7 km per liters with the automatic transmission model and 15.5 km per liters with the manual transmission model, with fuel cost RM0.14 per km for automatic transmission and RM0.11 per km for manual transmission.
100km = 7.87 l (7.87/100=0.0787) 1l = RM1.80 [1 km = 0.0787 l]
1 km = 0.0787 l 1 km = RM0.14 (1.80X0.0787=0.14)
> 12.7km/l > RM0.14/km
